Director of Engineering

Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex technical projects and drive them to outcomes
  • Manage high performance engineering teams in SF and India
  • Hire, mentor and grow passionate individuals who work well in strong teams
  • Coordinates with the key stakeholders such as PM, UX, Developers, QA, Marketing, Ops to deliver high quality product in a timely manner.
  • Strong leader capable of motivating the very best software engineers, as well as gaining their respect
  • Interface and collaborate with other teams in the larger organization for technology integration and service consolidation
  • Drive projects related to Cloud-hosted SaaS, CI/CD, Test Automation frameworks, Code Analysis tools, Testbed Infrastructure, Performance Metrics and projects related to overall engineering productivity.

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Proven track record leading and building successful software teams
  • 10+ years of industry experience with 5+ years in a management role
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with DevOps and SaaS operations
  • Familiarity with a broad mix of technologies such as Zookeeper, Kafka, Druid, Cassandra, Spark, Samza and other big data technologies
  • Familiarity with Systems Engineering, SIEM and Network Security
  • Familiarity with Full Stack technologies such as React, NodeJS etc.

Director of Product Management

Responsibilities:
  • Manage complex technical projects and drive them to outcomes
  • Define product strategy and roadmap
  • Conduct ongoing competitive data analysis and market validation activities such as customer prospect interviews and market analysis as part of product or feature planning; validate product plans against research results and makes informed recommendations regarding roadmap to senior management
  • Manage the product lifecycle from product definition to product release
  • Develop the product roadmap and present to key stakeholders, including executive team
  • Collaborate with Engineering, QA, Support, Sales and Partner teams on an ongoing basis
  • Develop product pricing; drive product profitability and investment in new markets and use cases
  • Collaborate with marketing to provide product positioning, messaging and contribute to the writing of whitepapers, data sheets, solutions briefs, reference architectures and case studies relating to the product.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of product management experience, or a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Networking or related field with 7+ years of product management experience
  • Strong experience in product management in areas such as Network Security, Application Monitoring/APM, Cloud Management/Orchestration Platforms or Data Analytics
  • Strong experience in conceptualizing and launching consumer-grade enterprise products
  • Strong experience in modern agile practices such as user story mapping
  • Strong organizational skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience in high-level business discussions

DevOps Engineer

  • Operationalize large scale data and analytics infrastructure.
  • Develop and automate installation, configuration and in-field auto-updates for host & app data collection agents.
  • Develop and maintain different flavors of Linux, Windows and Container based packages for host & app data collection agents.
  • Automate deployment pipelines in a scalable, secure and reliable manner for both SaaS and private installs.
  • Develop automated testing framework as part of the build pipeline.

Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a DevOps role in fast moving environments
  • Proficiency in Shell and Python scripting
  • Strong experience in microservices and containerized technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Mesosphere, etc.)
  • Experience with modern web architectures & cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
  • Experience in operating large scale data infrastructure (Kafka, Druid, Elasticsearch, Spark)
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD principles
  • Familiar with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Packer etc.
  • Solid understanding of operating systems and networking principles
  • A strong background in Linux internals
  • Knowledge of application monitoring tools to troubleshoot and diagnose environment issues

Backend Software Engineer

  • Develop novel multi-threading and algorithmic techniques to stream process high volume of event data at very low latencies.
  • Performance tune and profile the stream processing system. Use state of the art performance and profiling tools such as BCC tools, Intel VTune, Address/Thread Sanitizer etc.
  • Design and develop domain specific languages and compilers for expressing stream processing logic.
  • Work with DevOps and automation engineers to build automated testing and regression suites for the stream processing system.
  • Innovate and collaborate with product and data teams to build market shaping products.
  • Build network protocol parsers and state-machines to re-construct various application and database protocols.
  • Design data models and metrics for capturing machine data at scale in the form of time series and events data.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in C/C++ and systems programming
  • 3+ years of industry experience. Deep foundations of data structures, algorithms and computer architecture
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Have a BS/MS or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience with parallel and distributed computing
  • Plus: Experience with performance and profiling tools such as BCC tools, Intel VTune, Address/Thread Sanitizer etc.
  • Plus: A strong background in TCP/IP and protocol state machines.
  • Plus: Development experience in PCAP, eBPF, NetFlow etc.

  • 4+ years of experience working on distributed systems and scalable apps/services
